We’re Rooted in Oakland and our actions speak loudly

“I’m honored to be a member of Town Business. Working in Oakland and having the A’s as one of our founding partners, I’m excited for the opportunity to continue my loyalty to the A’s and community in an effort to build a new waterfront home for baseball in Oakland”

Alameda County Community Food Bank

Alameda County Community Food Bank has been at the forefront of hunger relief efforts in the Bay Area since 1985. This year, the Food Bank will distribute the equivalent of 28 million meals. More than half of the food they distribute is farm-fresh produce. The Food Bank serves 1 in 5 Alameda County residents by distributing food through a network of 200 food pantries, soup kitchens, and other community organizations, as well as direct-distribution programs including Children‘s Backpack and Mobile Pantry.

For 12 consecutive years, Alameda County Community Food Bank has received Charity Navigator‘s top rating — Four Stars — ranking the organization among the top 1 percent of charities nationwide. Learn more at accfb.org.

Oakland Public Education Fund

The A to Z Fund does two big things for all Oakland public schools: gives our teachers extra training to become even better, and distributes money to school leaders to use for camping trips, music sports, and other underfunded opportunities from A to Z.

We believe kids who come to school with less need more. While every Oakland public school will benefit from the A to Z Fund, we will distribute more money to schools with the most students who are low-income, English language learners, or in foster care. Learn more at oaklandedfund.org.
